拜台中爵士音樂節之賜，香港知名的爵士吉他手Eugene Pao即將來台演出，
11/1在政大也有一場表演，歡迎有興趣的同好一同參與。

鑽研爵士樂已20多年的吉他手包以正，在香港等同於爵士樂的代名詞，曾與許多國際知名樂手同台演出，在演奏爵士樂的造詣上有目共睹。2007香港藝術節更特別邀請包以正與日本吉他大師渡邊香津美及韓國傑出吉他手李宇鎮合作『亞洲超級吉他計畫』，顯示其於香港樂壇備受推崇的重量級地位！

此次受邀來台演出的團員，還包括各國頂級樂手：鋼琴/羅尚正(Ted Lo，香港)、薩克斯風/Paulo Teixeira（巴西）、爵士鼓/Anthony Fernandes（印度）、貝斯/Sylvain Gagnon（加拿大），截然不同的文化背景，更能在爵士議題上，產生共鳴並涵養出絕佳的演奏默契。

When it comes to Jazz in Hong Kong, there is no better icon than Eugene Pao, who has been studying and playing Jazz for more than two decades.
Other members who comprise the international quintet invited to Taiwan for this show include some of the world's top performers, such as pianist Ted Lo (Hong Kong), saxophonist Paulo Teixeira (Brazil), Jazz drummer Anthony Fernandes (India), and bass guitarist Sylvain Gagnon (Canada). The distinct cultural backgrounds of these five performers will definitely bring about a unique performance in Jazz.

來自比利時布魯塞爾皇家音樂學院的吉他演奏者/波利斯．卡奎爾(Boris Gaquere)自少年時期即展現不凡的演出敏銳度，對南美洲作曲家作品鑽研甚深的他，為使聽眾真正融入樂曲風情，與運用一只陶器演奏，於國際間名聲大譟的巴西打擊樂手雷納多．馬丁斯(Renato Martins)搭檔，從手拉坏流洩的豐富音色，讓原本淡雅的吉他聲增加了一份力道，加上兩人默契絕佳的全場背譜演出，充滿原始律動的野性風采，絕對讓聽眾隨著節奏手腳打拍、大呼過癮！
此次來台獻藝，將演出Bossa Nova之父Antonio Carlos Jobim、Paulo Bellinati、及Luis Bonfa等人充滿拉丁熱情搖擺風味的曲目，讓喜愛吉他樂曲的朋友，享受難得一見的音樂饗宴！

Performer: Guitar & Percussion Duet (from Belgium and Brazil)

The guitarist Boris Gaquere graduated from Royal Conservatories in Brussels. He is well versed in the works of South American composers and offers a taste of his musical influences by pairing up with the internationally renowned Brazilian percussionist Renato Marins. Amazingly, Marins will play only one piece of pottery as his instrument on the stage. The notes flowing from this hands-on ceramic accentuate the elegant guitar music for a powerful and flawless duet. The synergy of these combined sounds will definitely make for an enjoyable experience and you may even feel the beating of your own heart synchronize with the rhythm of this performance.
